Mountains & Valleys of Nepal

Mountains & Valleys of Nepal

Seeing the best of Nepalwith the comfort of a hotel bed each night. 18 days - all meals

A trekking holiday in Nepalwith an opportunity to see the best of the country's mountains & valleys with the comfort of a hotel bed at the end of each day. For some, the advantage of a hotel bed will outweigh the thrill of trekking. However it is still possible to enjoy the highlights of the country and sleep in a warm bed. We spend the first three nights at Nagarkot (approx 1800m) with two days' walking in this scenic and inspiring country. On a clear day Everest is visible to the north.

We continue to Bandipur, from where we walk in the Himalayan foothills then travel westwards to Pokhara to walk beneath the Annapurna Massif towering more than three miles above our heads.

Turning southwards we continue to Chitwan, the subtropical Terai region of Nepal's south, to spend three nights and include jungle walks, bird watching from a canoe and looking for wildlife on elephants. Finally we fly back to Kathmanduwith two days to explore the city centre and surrounding valley.

We'll walk in some pretty remote places knowing there's a comfortable hotel, bed and shower waiting at the end of the day.

Meals: All meals are provided throughout.

Accommodation: In Pokhara and Kathmandu we stay in comfortable four-star hotels; our other accommodation is in simpler mountain village hotels.

Travel: By road and air.

Supplementary Information: Overnight summary Outbound flight (one), Nargarkot (three), Bandipur (two), Pokhara (four), Chitwan (three), Kathmandu(two), inbound flight (one)
