Adrenaline Paragliding Nepal

Adrenaline Paragliding Nepal

So you have seen Nepal via her beautiful rivers and traversed the hills along spectacular trekking trails, now its time to get a true birds eye view of the snow capped Himalayan peaks as you take to the sky in one of the closest forms of free flight that you can experience. Paragliding is truly an epic way to end a magnificent trip in Nepal, and not to mention your last heart pounding adrenaline rush before you head back to the normality of your daily life.

Paragliding takes place in the sunny lake side town of Pokhara and allows you the simply amazing feeling of complete free flight as you glide from cloud to cloud, you, your experienced pilot and eagles to guide your path from thermal to thermal. The silence is all encompassing and words just simple cannot describe the feeling of soaring high above the glisten Fewa Tal with the snow capped peaks of the Annapuran and Dhalugri ranges in front of you as you zig zag across the blue sky. You will not want the moments to end as you drift gently down through the foothills above villages, terraced rice paddies and lush jungle.

A glider is a light non motorized foot launched inflatable wing. You launch yourself into the sky from a gentle slope facing into the wind. There are no sudden drops or plunges or sensation of falling, so a fear of heights is not normally a problem. Everybody who takes the plunge is surprised at how quiet and peaceful this experience is. So if you like the idea of drifting comfortably amongst the clouds, then why not join in this magical experience.

Paragliding is run in conjunction with a professional company registered with the civil aviation authority and the Nepal air sports association. The guides and pilots are all fully trained and experienced in Himalayan knowledge and local weather conditions. They operate with the up most safety so you can rest at ease and enjoy your experience.

A basic paragliding flight is done as a tandem, this means you will be flying with a trained pilot. As a passenger you require no previous aviation experience. You wear a comfortable harness which attaches you to the pilot and the glider. This type of flight allows you complete freedom to sit back and take pictures and enjoy the sensation of flight. If you wish you can take over the controls under the guidance of your pilot and steer the glider through the sky. This is the most popular form of paragliding.

Paragliding can be done from September through to June, though at times trips may be cancelled due to unfavorable winds or conditions. In such cases, you will be given a refund or offered another day for your flight.
